Anguish with Jesus in anguish, sorrow with Jesus in sorrow...
St Ignatius of Loyola
The LMC Apostolate in Free and Whole-Hearted Service to the Poorest of the Poor
The LMC focus is on the poorest of the poor in whom they recognize Jesus. Members give time and resources freely and in the service of the poorest of the poor, including cooking and serving in soup kitchens, visiting and tending to the needs of shut-ins, senior citizens, handicapped, and the incarcerated, as well as food distribution, afterschool care, camps, C.C.D. instruction, and outsourcing of the poor to medical care and housing. (Statutes and Way of Life of the LMC pg. 85)
Family - I thirst
A LMC's first apostolate is their family: Husband, Wife, Children, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, etc. They are called to quench the thirst of Jesus in their homes before any other apostolate. Taking the Holy Family as their model and thus restoring the domestic church.
